Experience with Juvéderm
Juvéderm is a highly effective dermal filler that enhances the cheeks and lips and reduces vertical lip lines and nasolabial folds. The results of the injections are highly dependent upon the experience of the individual who is depositing the gel into the layers of skin. Our technique maximizes the benefits of Juvéderm treatments.
What is Juvéderm?
Juvéderm is an FDA-approved dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid, or HA. This substance forms naturally in your skin, but the levels diminish as your skin ages. Without proper levels of HA, the skin is dehydrated, giving wrinkles a perfect environment in which to form. Replenishing HA levels with Juvéderm plumps up the skin to soften lines and enhance the lips and cheeks.
How is Juvéderm Administered?
Juvéderm is administered with a very fine needle, and several injections are made along the wrinkle or in the lips and cheeks. The injections are typically made in the deeper layers of skin, so the product contains lidocaine to help you remain comfortable.
What Should I Expect After My Juvéderm Treatment?
Immediately after the treatment with Juvéderm, you will notice a slight soften of the wrinkles. If you are having treatments for your cheeks or lips, these areas will look slightly fuller. You may develop some minor symptoms around each injection site for the first 24 to 48 hours, such as tenderness, swelling, and mild bleeding from where the needle was inserted.
Results from Juvéderm treatments may last one to two years based on the product that is used and how quickly your body absorbs the hyaluronic acid.
How Much Does Juvéderm Cost?
